Term 1 is Underway for Students
School is back in session for the children as they returned for Term 1 of the new academic year, and we are so excited to see what God has in store for them. From nursery through university level, we are seeing the children now beginning to reach levels of success. We recently had a Senior 6 level student graduate and pass her exams, receiving the #1, top score at her school. We also had a plumbing student pass their diploma program in Plumbing and choose to continue their education in a plumbing certification program. We are so thankful for your sponsorship and prayers for the students because without your commitment and prayers, it is likely that their stories would be very different.

Business Empowerment Program Has Begun
It has been our desire to find ways to empower the mothers to become independent. Through our new Business Empowerment Program, we are giving mothers the opportunity to begin a business venture of their choosing – based on their skills and abilities.
They are given a “business start-up” grant to help them financially invest in their future. Pictured here is one of our mothers, Brenda, who expressed the desire to begin a poultry business. She was able to purchase 15 chickens, feed, watering systems and shelter protection to begin. She will also be working under the guidance and direction of staff to help her create a business plan so that her efforts are sustainable.
The smile on her face is one that brings joy. Empowerment comes not through handouts but through opportunities for each person to provide for their families through their own work. Join us in praying for success for Brenda so that she can provide for her 3 young daughters.

Medical Update
We are so thankful to be able to offer financial support of medical needs experienced by the mothers and children within our program. So far this year, we have already provided for the treatment of: Malaria, flu, stomach ulcers, Nigerian Shin Disease, Rheumatic Fever, as well as pre-natal and labor/delivery care. We are expecting several new HGM babies over the spring and summer and with that, there will be increased expenses. We are always seeking donations for this fund so that when an illness or injury arises that needs immediate attention, we can offer support without hesitation and delay.
2025 Clean Water Program
In Uganda, water for drinking, bathing, cooking and cleaning is collected from local creeks, streams, or from wells.
The water is then boiled to eliminate bacteria so that it is safe for consumption. This is a tedious and time-consuming process.
Many illnesses can result from water that is contaminated. As a result, our goal is to bless each home with its own personal, ceramic water filter.
These filters are available at a cost of approximately $30 each. To provide a filter for each family and our center, it would cost $1,000. (The filter for our training center would cost approximately $100 based on the size needed.) Would you consider helping supply a family with clean water?
