Just an ordinary couple
answering God’s calling.
The story of His Grace Ministries goes back to 2014 when Brett and Kara Shumaker each traveled to Uganda on a church missions’ trip. It was during this time, that God planted a seed that would forever change many lives including those of the Co-Founders, Brett and Kara Shumaker.
Having been filled with a great love for Uganda and its people, the Shumakers have continued developing relationships and friendships over the years. What began with a church mission trip has now become a husband and wife team, Christ-centered ministry seeking to reach out and serve the hungry, the weak, the fatherless…the vulnerable women and children of Mityana, Uganda.
Today, His Grace Ministries is now sending 85 children to school ranging from primary, secondary and even the university level. Beyond the educational sponsorship program, His Grace Ministries has spread their wings to find ways to empower each family through a variety of programs.
HGM is committed to finding new ways for women and children to seek and fulfill their God-given potential so that they may be EMPOWERED to thrive – all while spreading the love of Jesus to each person they
encounter.
